Beginning October 1, 2020, every air traveler 18 years of age and older will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, state-issued enhanced driver’s license, or another acceptable form of ID to fly within the United States. Please check with your state driver’s license agency for details on how to obtain your REAL ID.
- If you are traveling domestically, you will only need one valid form of identification – either your REAL ID or another acceptable form of ID, such as a passport.
- If you are traveling internationally, you will still need your passport, as REAL ID cards are not an acceptable form of identification for international travel.
